Q: I have never been to a hammam before. What should I expect?
The hammam follows a set sequence: steam, scrub, oil massage, rinse, and rest. Your therapist will guide you through each step. There is nothing you need to know or prepare in advance — just arrive, and we will take care of everything.
Q: Do I need to be naked in the hammam?
This is entirely your choice. Most guests find the experience most effective without clothing, as the steam and scrub work directly on the skin. We provide Kikois and disposable briefs. Our therapists use draping throughout and your privacy is maintained at all times.
Q: Is the hammam shared with other guests?
Our hammam operates on a booking basis, so you will not share the space with strangers. The private couples suite is exclusively reserved for your party.
Q: What should I bring to the hammam?
Nothing. We provide robes, towels, Kikois, and all products.
Q: How long does the hammam experience take?
Our hammam ceremonies range from 60 to 100 minutes. The private suite can be extended with additional treatments. We will confirm the duration when you book.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?
We kindly ask for advance notice if you need to cancel or reschedule, so we can offer your time to another guest. Please contact us as early as possible via WhatsApp or email.
Q: Do you offer packages or multi-day programmes?
Yes. We offer packages from single sessions to five-day Ayurvedic programmes. Contact us to discuss a programme tailored to your stay.
Q: Is the spa suitable for children and teens?
We have a dedicated range of treatments for teenage guests. Very young children are not accommodated in the main spa areas, as we aim to maintain a calm environment for all guests.
Q: What products do you use?
All treatments use Zuri Rituals botanical skincare, handcrafted in Zanzibar from locally sourced, sustainably harvested ingredients. Cruelty-free and free from parabens and artificial additives.
Q: I have a medical condition or allergy. Can I still visit?
Please inform us when booking. Our therapists are trained to adapt treatments accordingly and will always advise you honestly.
Q: Can I purchase Zuri Rituals products to take home?
Yes. Our boutique stocks the full Zuri Rituals collection. Products are also available via Instagram (@zurirituals).
Q: How do I get to Stone Town from Zanzibar Airport?
Zanzibar Airport (ZNZ) is approximately 6 kilometres from Stone Town — around 15 to 20 minutes by taxi. Taxis are available outside arrivals. Agree on a fare before departure. Most Stone Town hotels can arrange airport transfers.
Q: Can I walk to the spa from Stone Town hotels?
Yes. We are in Shangani, within easy walking distance of most Stone Town hotels, adjacent to the Park Hyatt and Tembo Hotel on the seafront side of the old town. Your hotel concierge will know us well.
Q: Is there parking near the spa?
Stone Town’s historic streets do not accommodate private vehicles easily. We recommend arriving on foot, by taxi, or by tuk-tuk from your hotel.
Q: What is the best time of year to visit Zanzibar?
Zanzibar’s climate is warm year-round. The driest months are June to October and December to February. The spa is open daily throughout the year.
Q: Are you accessible for guests with mobility difficulties?
